"We make our own designs and never drop ship."
gothica was influenced by everything a kid growing up on the internet would see is popular, I grew up super into dark animes with their nuanced aesthetics and messages, hardcore M rated games full of badass shit etc.,
but as I grew up I got more into street fashion and designer brands. I never liked wearing basic clothing and as a kid growing up scared to talk to people I figured the best way to be myself is through fashion, and once I started making my own money and buying my own outfits I started getting compliments and making friends with those who have similar taste. (even though I was kinda a dweeb.) As I got older I slowly became sort of a miserable person who didn't get excited for anything but art or media. Reality was just so mundane and boring, this slowly made me resent those who can create things like clothes or music or tv shows for making so much garbage that feels boring. If you can make anything you want and share it with others, shouldn't you make something cool and special to you?
And then it occured to me I should do something with my life other than study psychology so I began designing clothes to fill the void of despair made by this superficial capitalistic world where art is mostly dead.
